AIR CLEANER KITS

S&S air cleaner kits are available for 08 and up baggers with electronic throttle control. They bolt on to the stock EFI throttle body in place of the stock air cleaner.  A high flow air cleaner will improve the performance of a stock engine, but a set of performance slip-on mufflers is generally installed at the same time because the gain in performance is greater with both then it is with either one alone. When you are ready to add a cam, a big bore kit, or performance cylinder heads, the results will just get better. Normally, the installation of an air cleaner kit and performance mufflers will not cause any tuning problems for stock closed loop fuel injection systems, as they can easily accommodate the additional fuel requirements.
